Dr Surendra G. Gattani, Professor at School of Pharmacy is a renowned academician, researcher, and skilled administrator with 22 years of experience. At Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University, Nanded, he served in a number of significant leadership roles, including Director of the School of Pharmacy, Dean, Associate Dean, and Chairman of the Board of Studies. With an H-index of 30, he has more than 110 articles in reputable national and international peer-reviewed journals. He has nine books to his credit, three patents, and a research projects worth Rs. 1 crore. Eight students are now working on their doctorate theses under his guidance, and he has overseen 13 doctoral thesis students in total.

Prof. Gattani is a master teacher for pharmacy professionals interested in management and leadership. He regularly counsels college and high school students about career development and public health awareness.

The Healthy India project was started by Prof. Gattani. He founded “The Arogyam” platform in order to raise public awareness of issues related to human health, wellbeing, and wellness. The goal of this platform is to “Develop a healthy India by raising awareness among all people and connecting them through education, counseling, demonstration, interaction, and discussions about lifestyle diseases, disease management, medicine, and its management, ayurveda, first aid, nutrition, food and diet, cosmetics, pranayama, yoga, and naturopathy,” as stated in the platform’s mission statement.
